  • OHS received two nominations by the Playhouse Square Dazzle Awards for the musical Chicago (High School Edition): OHS student Roxanne Popovsky ("Best Actress in a Musical") and the OHS Pit Orchestra ("Best Student Orchestra")

  • OHS musicians performed for the Kiwanis Club of Lander Circle

  • The OHS and BMS Orchestras, Bands and Choirs performed for the community at their winter and spring concerts

  • The OHS Orchestra and Choir performed the Alma Mater at the 2019 Commencement ceremony. 

  • Members of the OHS Choir also performed it at the Alumni Hall of Fame inductions

  • The OHS "Underground" includes opportunities for students in ceramics, painting, drawing, digital media, art design and photography

  • OHS Senior Art Show is held during the last week of senior classes. Among the artworks on display were pencil and pastel drawings, paintings, rug designs, pottery, three-dimensional book creations, poetry and photography

  • BMS sixth graders partake in the Great Lakes Theater Festival’s Residency Program each year 

  • 42+ MHS fifth grade students participate in the “Tune In” Choir where they have the opportunity to sing music that pushes them beyond what they do in the classroom including learning how to read vocal scores. It also provides an opportunity to bond socially with other students who love to sing. They also seek out opportunities to perform at sporting events, sing with the OHS orchestra, sing at the Orange Senior Center and at Convocation Day

  • Fifth grade students have the option to choose an instrument and be part of the school band or orchestra

  • Students in grades K-5 at MHS explore various forms of art using paint, ceramics and other artistic tools. The art teachers often collaborate with the classroom teachers to design curriculum that enhances art and core subjects

  • 7 OHS sophomores were selected as literary winners from more than 1400 art, language, science and math projects submitted from 53 schools in the annual Cleveland Clinic eXpressions® Program

  • OHS Students artwork was showcased at Cleveland Institute of Art

  • 29 pieces of art from OHS students placed in the Regional Juried Art Show and moved on to the Ohio Governor’s State Juried Art Show

  • 5 OHS Students earned a Superior "1" Rating at the Ohio Music Education Association’s Solo and Ensemble Contest

  • Orange High School Thespians performed "Twelve Angry Jurors" and “Chicago: The Musical” 

  • 3 OHS students performed with the Cleveland Youth Symphony I at Severance Hall. 

  • OHS Concert Band and Wind Ensemble performed at the NEO Band Invitational at Severance Hall

  • OHS hosted the Second Annual Orange Jazz Invitational

  • 4 OHS students participated in 2019 Beachwood Arts Council’s Ileen Kelner Juried High School Art Show

  • OHS Choir spring concert featured an “Evening at the Cabaret,” include music from Broadway and the movies, as well as popular favorites from the 1960's through the present
