Orange High School Indoor Pool
Much needed renovations were recently made to the Orange High School Indoor Pool to maintain the facility in a viable state. The indoor pool was built in 1973 as part of the then-new Orange High School and includes both a lap pool and a diving well. Thousands of people use the facility each year from physical education needs to Orange Schools Swim Teams to Orange Community Education & Recreation programming to community usage. Recent renovations include:
  • Repairs and upgrades to the lap pool and the diving well

  • Renovated locker rooms

  • New bleachers

  • New ADA accessible entrance and changing rooms

  • New roof (replaced the 41-year old wooden truss roof)
Orange High School Windows & Exterior Repairs
Exterior repairs and improvements were recently made to Orange High School. These items included:
  • Removal of masonry above deteriorated steel lintels (horizontal supports), repair/replacement of steel lintels, installation of continuous flashing with weeps and installation of new brick.

  • Removal of original single-glazed aluminum windows and replacement with double-glazed aluminum windows/storefront with operable sections.

  • Replace doors, hardware and access control at new doors.

  • Removal of brick window sills, installation of continuous flashing with weeps and installation of new cast stone sills.

  • Complete cleaning and sealing of existing brick veneer.

  • Replacement of sealant at all existing masonry control joints and horizontal shelf angle joints.

  • Replace sealant at window to masonry joints as indicated.

  • Inspection of all existing window gasketing and replacement/repair of any damaged or improperly fitting gaskets and seals.
