The Orange School District serves more than 2,200 students living in eight municipalities, including Hunting Valley, Orange Village, Pepper Pike, Woodmere and Moreland Hills, as well as portions of Bedford Heights, Solon and Warrensville Heights.

The support the school district receives from the greater community and the quality effort by all staff has led to the Orange Schools Community remaining one of the most desirable places to live and educate children.

Orange Schools Receive Straight A Grant to Support 21st Century Learning
The Orange City School District has received a Straight A Grant from the Ohio Department of Education to support and further its efforts in 21st Century Learning. The grant focuses on a “Lead to Learn” initiative that includes innovation and design thinking through project based learning, engineering, and real world application of learning for students.

The American Cancer Society Relay For Life of the Orange Schools Communities will take place on, Friday, May 20, 2016 from 6 p.m. to Midnight at Orange High School on the Main Drive. Relay is FUN event that allows everyone to Fight Back!

The Orange High School Spring Music Concerts will take place this month. The OHS Choir concert will be on Thursday, April 14, 2016. The OHS Band concert will be on Tuesday, April 19, 2016. The OHS Orchestra concert will be on Thursday, April 21, 2016. All three concerts will be held in the school auditorium at 7 p.m. The community is welcome to attend.

Music, Photography Come Together for Orange Artists in Chicago
The Orange High School Orchestra, directed by Mrs. Rebecca Ellsworth, and Orange Choir, directed by Mr. Christopher Olsen, had the unique opportunity to perform in Chicago’s famed Field Museum of Natural History on Saturday, March 12, 2016. OHS photography students and their teacher, Ms. Melissa Conrad, joined these musicians as the group demonstrated their artistic skills, while enjoying a culturally rewarding educational experience in touring the Windy City.

The Orange High School Thespians proudly present the OHS Spring Musical, "All Shook Up" on Friday, March 4, 2016 and Saturday, March 5, 2016 at 7 p.m. both nights in the OHS Auditorium. Tickets are $10 at the door. Students pay $5 if purchased in advance immediately after school the week of the show.

Orange Schools Community Relay for Life Kick-off - The Heat Is On!
There was nothing "chilly" at all at the 2nd Annual Chilly, Chili Cook-Off & Relay for Life Rally held Wednesday night in the OHS Commons! The event raised more than $1000 at the kick-off for the annual American Cancer Society/Orange Schools Community Relay for Life event. Board Selects 2016 Officers, Approves Appointments at Organizational Meeting

OHS Library Receives James Patterson, Scholastic Reading Grant
Congratulations to Orange High School on recently receiving a $6000 grant from bestselling author James Patterson to support its school library. In addition, Scholastic Reading Club will match each dollar of Patterson’s donation with “bonus points” that teachers can use to acquire books and other materials. 
Students Collect 330+ Toys for Tots!
The Orange High School Student Government Association (SGA) along with the Brady Middle School Student Council collected more than 330 toys for the Toys for Tots holiday campaign. These toys were distributed to children in Northeast Ohio by the Marine Corps.

The Orange Schools Board of Education approved the calendars for school years 2016-2017 and 2017-2018 at its December 14, 2015 regular meeting.

OHS Students Lead White Ribbon Campaign by Positive Example
Members of the Orange High School Male Minority Leaders and their advisors participated in the 2015 White Ribbon Campaign to end domestic violence. Student leaders spoke in Downtown Cleveland to address the issue and raise awareness of the campaign.

As Memorial Day approaches, the Orange Schools proudly salute and remember our military heroes. Earlier this year, Moreland Hills School students participated in a “Coins for Courage” program collecting all the loose change they could find in one day to raise money for Honor Flight Cleveland.

Orange PTA Art Fair Set for Sunday, May 3rd, 10-5
The Orange Elementary PTA presents its 11th annual Orange Art Fair on Sunday, May 3, 2015 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Moreland Hills Elementary School on the Orange Schools Campus. Admission is free. More than 60 fine artisans will be on hand. This event supports local artists and businesses and in turn the vendors help raise funds with the proceeds from sales supporting and enhancing the Orange Schools’ art and music programs.

Orange Schools Receive Conditional Approval on State Testing Waiver
The Orange City School District application for a five-year waiver on state mandated testing has received “conditional approval” by the Ohio Department of Education. Orange is one of only a handful of school districts in Ohio eligible to apply for this waiver, which now has to be approved by the U.S. Department of Education. 
Special Board Meeting Regarding Pinecrest Proposal Set for Mar 16
A special Board of Education meeting for residents interested in commenting to the school board regarding the Pinecrest development tax increment financing proposal has been scheduled for Monday, March 16, 2015 at 6:30 p.m. in the Pepper Pike Learning Center. The Board will listen to all comments prior to making its decision whether to endorse the tax increment financing proposal. 
Orange School District Submits Application for State Testing Waiver
The Orange City School District has applied for a five-year waiver on state mandated testing. This request is for the years 2015–2020 and is possible due to the District’s affiliation with the Ohio Innovation Lab Network (ILN). Orange is one of only a handful of school districts in Ohio eligible to apply for this waiver.

Orange High School Girls Diving Team was represented by Isabelle Schlachter who earned a high enough score to participate in the OHSAA DII State Diving championship. Orange High School Girls Swim Team qualified in two events for the OHSAA DII Swimming State Championship.

Brady Middle School students recently helped stock the newly opened Garfield Memorial Church Food Pantry with more than 60 cases of food. Community members are invited to an Open House at the Food Pantry on Friday, December 12th from 9am-11am at the church. 
BOE, Administrators Attend OSBA Conference
Orange Schools Board members and several administrators recently attended the 59th annual Ohio School Boards Association (OSBA) Capital Conference and Trade Show in Columbus. They participated in many sessions on a variety of educational topics, including school board development, community relations, facilities, finance, school law, legislative topics, technology, human resources, student achievement and 21st century education. 
Male Minority Leadership Group Produces Violence Prevention PSA
The Male Minority Leadership Group of Orange High School has produced a PSA in support of the White Ribbon Campaign. This campaign is a global violence prevention movement observed in more than 60 countries. Friday November 21, 2014 is the local White Ribbon Day.

Regional Heroin Summit at OHS on October 16th
The Orange City School District has announced that it will host a Heroin Summit on Thursday, October 16, 2014 from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the Orange High School auditorium featuring US Attorney Mr. Steven M. Dettelbach as keynote speaker. All residents are welcome and encouraged to attend this informative public meeting on the growing use of heroin in our region. 
Orange Earns ‘A’ on State Report Card Assessment
September 12, 2014 - The Orange City School District is proud to announce today that it performed well overall on the 2014 Ohio Department of Education school district report card earning an “A” rating in Achievement and an “A” rating in Progress.
