Welcome back to the 2018-2019 school year!

 I hope everybody had a GREAT summer!  
The menus for all schools are available online on the website for your viewing/printing.  If you would like a hard copy please email me and let me know and I will have one sent home with your student.  
Nutritional Information is available upon request. 
 
The menus are based off of the nutritional guidelines set forth by the USDA and the NSLP.  The goal is lower sodium, reduced fat, and more whole grains.  The menus are marked with an * for whole grain products.  
 
My goal is to get the students to participate in the cafeteria and to provide nourishing, tasty, healthy meals every day!
 
We are excited to be piloting a fruit/vegetable bar at Moreland Hills Elementary this year.  The items on the fruit/vegetable bar will be part of the reimbursible lunch.  Options will include lettuce, tomatoes, carrots, celery, cucumbers, fresh fruits, raisins, assorted canned fruits. 
 
All schools in the Orange Schools participate in the "Offer vs Serve" for a reimbursible lunch.  This means that a student must take AT LEAST 3 of the 5 lunch components (Meat/Meat alt, Grain, Fruit, Vegetable, and Milk) with one of the components being a fruit or vegetable.
