Melanie Weltman has resided in the Orange School District for almost 38 years including the past 13 years with her husband Scott and their three children - two that attend Orange Schools and one that graduated from Orange High School. She is also a member of the “13 Year Club” having attended the Orange Schools from Kindergarten through high school graduation.
She is a current member of both the Orange Boosters and Orange Alumni Association. She is very active volunteer in the classroom and school buildings. Melanie has served as the president of Orange Elementary and Middle School PTA for two years. She also served on the PTA Board at various times as the Brady Middle School representative and the chairperson for membership, development, fundraising voting and hospitality.
Her involvement extends beyond the schools to include work with the Orange Area Service Committee where she has been a Board member for the last few years. She also is a Board member at Park Synagogue.
Melanie has been employed part-time in commercial real estate management for the past seven years and previously worked as an attorney. She earned her JD from Case Western Reserve University’s School of Law. She earned a BA in English from the University of Michigan.
