ORANGE PARENTS EDUCATION NETWORK (O.P.E.N.)
Our goal is to gather families within our community who are interested in enhancing their students' learning experience with a cooperative parent-teacher partnership. Our focus in planning student socials, parent networking, workshops and speaker events is to improve the cognitive and interpersonal skills of the gifted and special needs students. ORANGE ALLIANCE OF AFRICAN AMERICAN PARENTS
The Alliance is a parent organization of minority students attending the Orange Schools. Its purpose is to enrich the academic, social and cultural experiences of minority students in school and out of school, by doing so , also enriching the lives of all students in the community. Activities include Kwanzaa, Senior Farewell Banquet, African-American History Month and Parents-in-the Library Reading Festival. Meetings are held monthly. ORANGE SCHOOLS ALUMNI ASSOCIATION
The Alumni Association established in 1988, maintains an active database of over 6,500 alumni. Located in the Pepper Pike Learning Center it provides services including sponsoring an annual Alumni Day, organizing all Hall of Fame awards, giving yearly scholarships to graduates who are sons or daughters of alumni, publishing a newsletter and supporting and helping reunion committees. ORANGE SCHOOLS BOOSTERS
The Orange Boosters cooperate with the Board of Education, superintendent, principals, teachers and students in promoting and developing any and all undertakings for the betterment of the Orange Schools. The group has 300+ members and 20+ executive board members. Meetings are usually the first Wednesday of the month, 7 p.m. at the high school. Michael Willen, President (440) 446-9668.
ORANGE SCHOOLS FOUNDATION
The Orange Schools Educational Foundation was established in 1991 as a nonprofit organization to foster the improvement of the Orange Schools' program. The Foundation looks at proposals for new and innovative ideas, as well as improvement projects which enhance curricular and extracurricular opportunities for students and personal/professional development for faculty members and students. The Foundation gives individuals, families, companies and organizations the opportunity to support the highest quality educational experiences for our children. Meetings are bi-monthly starting in January on the 3rd Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. For more information, contact 216-831-8600 x 5001.
ORANGE PATRONAIRES
The Patronaires support the arts, music, theater and fine arts in the Orange Schools. They encourage participation at all levels primarily through attendance and fundraiser's.
