Board Bids Fond Farewell to Two Members; Welcomes New Members
As 2013 draws to a close, we bid farewell to two long serving Orange Schools Board of Education members, Tom Bonda and Sam Steinhouse, and welcome Melanie Weltman and Jeff Leikin.
Tom (pictured right) served for more than 13 years, including stints as Board President and Vice President. Sam (pictured left) served for 5-1/2 years, including the past three years as Board President. Tom was recognized publicly at a meeting this past summer, and Sam was recognized publicly at the December 16, 2013 board meeting. The Board thanks them for their service and their many contributions.
In July, we welcomed Melanie Weltman as an appointed board member to Tom Bonda's seat and now in 2014 as an elected board member. We also welcome Jeff Leikin who will take office in January. We look forward to working together to continue to build upon the success of the Orange Schools while addressing the needs of all students.
