Congratulations to sixth grader Rachel Glukh who won first place in her age group in the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. birthday card design contest! Teacher Anne Bing offered students in her class the opportunity to enter the competition sponsored by the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday Scholarship Committee of Cleveland. The contest celebrates the life, work, and legacy of Dr. King in honor of the 85th anniversary of his birth. Students in Grades 1 through 12 were invited to create a birthday card for Dr. King using the title "Happy Birthday Dr. King!" Rachel was honored at a breakfast on the MLK holiday, Monday, January 20th, received a trophy and a scholarship for her award-winning card, and appeared on WKYC's Live on Lakeside to talk about the competition and the significance of the event.

Congratulations Rachel!
