Orange Students Earn Accolades at Competitions

Scholastic Art Competition Success!

Senior Steven Karacson's mixed media work, entitled "Troubled," received a silver medal at the national level of the Scholastic Art competition. Silver medal recipients earn high honors on the national level and receive a silver medal and a certificate. Karacson is in the Advanced Drawing and Painting class.

Special recognition also goes to the students whose work was on display at the Orange Village Hall, including Sara Desberg, Lauren Israel, Kinga Karacson, Chan Hee Kim, Julia King, Samantha Zabell, Sydney Zagger and Micaela Zaverdinos.

Ohio Future Problem Solving Competition Success!

Orange freshman Hallie Isreal's scenario "Alone" is in the top three at this year's Ohio Future Problem Solving scenario writing competition. The first place award will be announced at State Bowl on April 24, 2010 at the Berea High School Auditorium and will go on to be scored at International Bowl. The scenario writing competition is a challenging long term writing project based on a global issue. Hallie's scenario is based on research related to orphans.
