OHS Students Named National Merit Semifinalists

Orange City School District received notification that five of its students have been identified as Semifinalists in the 2013 National Merit Scholarship Program. The five students are Camille Rekhson, Brian Ritchken, Rachel Ross, Spencer Weiss and Sarah Young.
With a selection index score of 214 or above, these Orange High School seniors are among the highest-scoring participants nationally in the National Merit Corporation scholarship program. These students have the opportunity to be named National Merit Finalists and earn scholarships for their performance on the PSAT.
The National Merit Corporation’s goals are to identify and honor academically talented U.S. high school students; to stimulate increased support for their education; and to provide efficient and effective scholarship program management for organizations that wish to sponsor college undergraduate scholarships.
