OHS Swimmers: Good Luck at States!

Congratulations to the Orange High School Swim Team! The team sent 18 swimmers to the recent District Tournament. Twelve of those swimmers qualified for the State Meet at the CT Branin Natatorium in Canton this Thursday and Friday, including Kathryn Jordan, Elisabeth Fellowes, Maddie Kinkopf, Kathleen Freund, Talia Zaverdinos, Isabelle Schenkel, Elizabeth Jordan, Kaitlyn King, Jack Nee, David Wang, Doo Hee Kim and Evan Frazier.

The Lion Girls Qualified for States in 500 freestyle (Schenkel), 100 backstroke (K. Jordan), 100 breaststroke (Kinkopf), 200 medley relay (K. Jordan, Kinkopf, Freund, Fellowes), and 400 freestyle relay (Fellowes, K. Jordan, Schenkel, Zaverdinos). E. Jordan and King will serve as alternates.

The Lion Boys Qualified for states in 50 freestyle (Nee), 100 freestyle (Nee), 400 freestyle relay (Frazier, Kim, Nee, Wang). At the District Meet, Nee set a new varsity record at 20.96 in the 50 freestyle!
