OHS Sarah Young Earns President's Volunteer Service Award

Orange High School senior Sarah Young has been honored with a President’s Volunteer Service Award for her exemplary volunteering at school and in the community.
This award, which recognizes Americans who have volunteered significant amounts of their time to serve their communities and their country, was presented by The Prudential Spirit of Community Awards program on behalf of U.S. President Barack Obama.
Young earned her award through her many volunteer efforts. In the past year, she worked with the Fun Run at the Orange Jubilee, mentored younger students at Moreland Hills Elementary School, served as a member of the OHS Stargirl female student leadership group and was a leader with the OHS Outstanding Minority Achievers. She also volunteered on the production crews at Stagecrafters Theater Group, Beachwood Community Theater, the Fairmount Performing Arts Conservatory, and Heights Youth Theater.
