Welcome to the Community eNewsletter

Dear Orange Schools Community Member,

Welcome to the Orange School District's new community eNewsletter!

It is the responsibility of the Orange Schools to create an educational environment that supports and promotes academic, social and emotional growth for all students.  This environment can only be successful if we work in conjunction with the communities we serve.  Our new eNewsletter will be a part of this collaboration with the communities to keep everyone informed and to invite your input about the Orange Schools.

Coming up in future eNewsletters we will share news of student success and achievement and the state of the schools.

The new eNewsletter is one of many communication vehicles we will use to inform our residents. The end of the year PRIDE Community Newsletter will be on your doorsteps early this summer featuring 21st Century Learning and a reflection on the 2008-2009 school year. Informational handouts will soon be available highlighting each school. The students of the Orange High School Video Production II class will have a video featured on the district web site soon that showcases “Engaged Learning. Extraordinary Achievement.” Community focus groups will be developed with various district stakeholders represented to provide input on community involvement in our schools.

The dedication of our students, staff and Board of Education along with the strong support of the greater school community, allows our students to meet and exceed our academic expectations for high achievement.

Thank you for signing up for the eNewsletter and for your continued support of the Orange School District. We encourage you to ask your neighbors to join, as well.

Sincerely,

Nancy Wingenbach, Ph.D.
Superintendent
