ORANGE PARENTS AND EDUCATORS FOR GIFTED STUDENTS (OPEGS)
OPEGS, Orange Parents and Educators for Gifted Students is an affiliated advocacy group of OAGC, Ohio Association for Gifted Children. The purpose of the association is to foster an awareness of the needs of gifted children and able learners and to promote the utilization of home, school and community resources for their benefit. Also to engage parents, educators, students and community members in support of gifted children and able learners in the Orange City Schools. ORANGE PARENTS EDUCATION NETWORK (O.P.E.N.)
Our goal is to gather families within our community who are interested in enhancing their students' learning experience with a cooperative parent-teacher partnership. Our focus in planning student socials, parent networking, workshops and speaker events is to improve the cognitive and interpersonal skills of the gifted and special needs students. ORANGE SCHOOLS ALUMNI ASSOCIATION
The Alumni Association established in 1988, maintains an active database of over 6,500 alumni. Located in the Pepper Pike Learning Center it provides services including sponsoring an annual Alumni Day, organizing all Hall of Fame awards, giving yearly scholarships to graduates who are sons or daughters of alumni, publishing a newsletter and supporting and helping reunion committees. ORANGE SCHOOLS BOOSTERS
The Orange Boosters cooperate with the Board of Education, superintendent, principals, teachers and students in promoting and developing any and all undertakings for the betterment of the Orange Schools. The group has 300+ members. Meetings are usually the first Wednesday of the month, 7 p.m. at the high school. ORANGE SCHOOLS FOUNDATION
The Orange Schools Educational Foundation was established in 1991 as a nonprofit organization to foster the improvement of the Orange Schools' program. The Foundation looks at proposals for new and innovative ideas, as well as improvement projects which enhance curricular and extracurricular opportunities for students and personal/professional development for faculty members and students. The Foundation gives individuals, families, companies and organizations the opportunity to support the highest quality educational experiences for our children. The Patronaires support the performing arts in Orange High School: band, choir, orchestra and theater. They encourage participation at all levels through chaperoning, fundraising, and any other support the arts directors need.
