Congratulations to Brady Middle School’s Team Hedgehog Factory on placing sixth out of 87 teams at the Destination Imagination Global Competition in Knoxville, TN held May 24-27, 2017. What happens when students combine a passion with an innovative learning opportunity? They code video games, design stop motion animation, create 3D drawings, record video guitar lessons, and write a multi-cultural cookbook. They design websites that teach about science, the environment, fitness, airplane construction and ADHD. At a special awards ceremony held on May 18, 2017 during the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair (Intel ISEF), Orange High School senior Michael Litt earned two awards for his project "MATCHLESS: A Linear Algebraic Approach to Duplicate File Identification." His recognitions include a First Place Award from Mu Alpha Theta, National High School and Two-Year College Mathematical Sciences Honor Society, and an Honorable Mention in "Science of Security" from the National Security Agency Research Directorate. [...click for more]
