Dear Orange Schools Families,
I hope this letter finds you well. While the timing of in-person return to schooling may be up in the air, I am confident that it will occur, of course, at some point. As you know, limiting travel is important in doing all we can to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Per the CDC:
Positivity rate is an indicator of how much COVID-19 there is in a community, and ODH is recommending against travel to those states with high positivity. If someone must travel, ODH is recommending 14 days of self-quarantine after leaving those locations. This advisory is intended for both leisure and business travel, and should be heeded by both Ohioans and out-of-state travelers.
Per this recommendation, any student who travels to a state in which the positivity rate qualifies it to be placed on the advisory list will be required to quarantine for 14 days before returning to in-person school activities.
If you travel out of state, please contact your principal or coach/activity advisor to discuss the return of your child. Thanks in advance for your help in this matter as we continue to strive to provide the best education possible as safely as possible.
