OHS Ranked among the best in Ohio by The Washington Post
Great job by our students and staff! Orange High School rated sixth in the state and third in Northeast Ohio in the recently released "America’s Most Challenging High Schools 2017" rankings by The Washington Post.
The Washington Post divides the number of Advanced Placement, International Baccalaureate or other college-level tests a school gave by the number of graduating seniors. According to the Post, while not a measure of the overall quality of the school, the rating can reveal the level of a high school’s commitment to preparing average students for college. Also noted are the percentage of students who come from families that qualify for lunch subsidies (Subs. lunch) and the percentage of graduates who passed at least one college-level test during their high school career.
