Orange Yearbook Receives First Place Recognition
Orange High School’s “2016-2017 ORAN Yearbook” recently received First Place recognition from the American Scholastic Press Association (ASPA). This is the fourth consecutive year the Oran has received an honorable recognition from this prestigious institution, and the seventh consecutive year receiving a "Perfect Performance Award" from Herff Jones Publishing Company. Chief Editors of the 2017 Oran were Hannah DeWolf, Senna Dweik, Ally Marchewitz, Lindsay Morris, Alissa Nakamoto, and Zoe Newman.
According to the ASPA, “Your yearbook shows excellence in the fields of writing, photography and page design and contains elements/sections of a memorable yearbook that will be treasured for years to come.”
The 2017 theme, “Color Outside the Lions,” focused on OHS’s creativity and ability to think “outside the box” or “color outside the lines.” Yearbook instructor, Mrs. Erin Cingel, noted, “I absolutely love the energy this book communicates! The original cover designed by Orange 2017 graduate, Emilio Marriott, is a one-of-a-kind piece of artwork, and the staff did a fantastic job of carrying his creativity through the entire book.”
