OHS Seniors Recognized by Lander Circle Kiwanis!

Congratulations to the six outstanding OHS seniors who were honored by the Lander Circle Kiwanis this week for their amazing achievements. The six students who were recognized are: Fatimah Abouelsoud, Shivangi Bhatia, Lauren Hawkes, Jin Hu, Rebecca Tenney, and Andi Wang.

Three of the students (Hu, Hawkes and Tenney), pictured below with their parents and Lander Circle Kiwanis President Mike Fetzer (far right), were in attendance at the Kiwanis Dinner Monday night to be congratulated for their accomplishments by Fetzer, Superintendent of Orange Schools Dr. Edwin Holland, and OHS Principal Dr. Paul Lucas. They were also joined by members of the selection committee including Kiwanis members Mary Keefe, Erin Dweik (not pictured), and Kathy Fetzer as well as OHS Administrative Assistant Karen Taylor.

The Lander Circle Kiwanis looks to meet the needs of the community it serves. Each year the Youth Services Committee works with Orange High School staff members to recognize six OHS students who have shown significant contributions of dedicated service to the school community, civic involvement, exemplary integrity, attributes of leadership through actions and character, and academic achievement.

"I feel fortunate to be involved in a club and a community that show such a strong commitment to our youth, and I admire these students’ accomplishments," said Fetzer. "If the world is to be a better place, it is because of these students."

Congratulations to our outstanding OHS seniors!
