Orange Destination ImagiNation Teams Soar to Success!
Orange Destination ImagiNation Teams Soar to Success!

Congratulations to our MHS students who were part of the five Orange Schools Destination ImagiNation teams that excelled at the Regional Competition held this past weekend at Beachwood High School. Two of those Orange teams will now move on to the State competition on April 26th, including last year's winners: Team Hedgehog Factory!

Both of the teams heading to states this year are comprised of fifth graders. Orange also had one third place team, one fourth place team and our youngest team, made up of kindergarten, first and second graders. That age group is not officially scored but the students on that team also had a very successful experience!

Destination ImagiNation is a creative problem-solving, process-oriented program that exists in 48 states and more than 30 countries. Student teams work together without adult interference to solve open-ended challenges and present their solutions at tournaments. Teams are tested on how well and quickly they think on their feet, work together, and devise original solutions that satisfy specific requirements. Along with a main challenge, students must also complete an "Instant Challenge" in which they react to a problem and resolve it on the spot.

Congratulations to all of our student DI team members and good luck to our two fifth grade teams at States!!!
