PTA MHS Olympics Set for October 9-15
The Orange Elementary and Middle School PTA will kick-off its annual school fundraiser and bring back the MHS Olympics from Friday, October 9, 2015 through Thursday, October 15, 2015. This is a fun way to not only raise money to fund PTA school events, programs and grants throughout the year, but to also create a sense of community and school pride throughout the week’s events.
The PTA’s Goal is to generate school spirit through the children’s participation in Olympic themed
activities integrated throughout all classroom and special area classes.
All 100% of funds raised go directly back to the school. Students are asked to collect money from family and friends to support their participation in Olympic themed games and activities. Students will be working together as a team, competing as a class and not as individuals.
Being an Olympian is more than physical ability. It requires mental focus, discipline and commitment. Therefore, the PTA has chosen five virtues of an Olympian that will be incorporated into the student’s day throughout the MHS Olympics: Teamwork, Perseverance, Healthy Lifestyle, Mental Skills, and Fair Play.
