BMS Students Stock Newly Opened Garfield Food Pantry
December 11, 2014
Following a school-wide collection of canned goods, Brady Middle School Builders Club members boxed, carried, loaded and unloaded more than 60 cases of food for the Garfield Memorial Church Emergency Food Pantry which serves families right in our own community.  The amount of food the students gathered will feed between 45 and 60 families in need during the holidays.
Working in collaboration with the Orange Area Outreach Team, the workers at Garfield are grateful for the students' on-going efforts.

"It's our responsibility as a community to reach out to those in need," said Nancy Isaacson, who helped coordinate the efforts at Garfield. "It's a privilege to be able to do this.  These kids that are doing this good work with smiles on their faces really honor that."

Community members are invited to a Pantry Open House on Friday, December 12th from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Garfield Church.  Anyone who would like to contribute to the Food Pantry or knows of someone who is in need of assistance is welcome to call the Pantry at 216-765-2345.
