Seven OHS Students Honored as "Problem Solvers"
Congratulations to all of the dozens of Orange High School students who participated in the "We Solve Problems" Essay Contest sponsored by the Gertsburg Law Firm and the Chagrin Valley Chamber of Commerce. Seven OHS students (above, left to right) Eesha Patel, Ian Resnick, Jake Van De Walle, Alexa Paull, Kate Tzefronis, Sophia Suh, and Michayla Connor placed in the Final 27 in the region. Sophomore Alexa Paull also received second place in her grade level overall. Each of these students received a monetary award.
Orange Schools also received a check for $1000 for participation in the contest which will go to Brady Middle School's Power of the Pen writing program and Problem Solvers at Orange High School to continue to encourage our student writers and problem solvers. All students who participated will also receive a one day pass to Pioneer Waterland & Dry Fun Park. Students were asked to solve the problem of texting and driving. More than 800 students participated from four schools in the Chagrin Valley.
