The Orange City School District held two meetings last month entitled "FutureVision" where students, parents, staff, administrators, Board members, community leaders and community members were invited to participate in planning for the future of the school campus to best serve its students and community. These stakeholders provided insights and input to ensure what the District creates will serve both current and future generations.

The first meeting allowed participants to explore what schools throughout the country and around the world have to offer and what possibilities the future could hold for us here at the Orange Schools. This was done through interactive videos that allowed everyone to give input through a survey.

The second meet was a day of planning workshops devoted to developing ideas based on educational trends and learning possibilities towards a future vision for school facilities. Stakeholders collaborated in both small and large groups to discuss future wants and needs. Later that second day, an open house was held for those unable to attend the workshops in order to view and respond to what was created by the participants. Students led visitors to various stations manned by the master planning team. Guests were able to ask questions, give input and learn about other community members' visions.
