Orange Welcomes New Curriculum Director Karen Moore, Congratulates Jennifer Felker on New ODE Position
Welcome New 21st Century Curriculum Director Karen Moore!
The Orange City School District officially welcomes Karen Moore as its new Director of 21st Century Curriculum. She was approved by the Board of Education at its July 10, 2014 meeting. Her first official day at Orange will be August 1, 2014.
Moore joins the Orange Schools after serving the past five and a half years as the Director of Curriculum with the Stow Monroe Falls School District. She also is an Adjunct Professor for Graduate classes in the area of Special Education at Malone University. Prior to Stow Monroe Falls Schools, she served for six years as an elementary school principal for the Tallmadge City School District.
Congratulations to Jennifer Felker on Her New ODE Associate Superintendent Position!
Moore will direct the Orange Schools' curriculum that for the past two years has been overseen by the Director of Educational Programs Jennifer Felker who has recently accepted a new position outside the District as an Associate Superintendent with the Ohio Department of Education. Felker's last day at Orange Schools will be July 30, 2014.
"Karen Moore brings the knowledge and experience needed to help staff prepare Orange students for the challenging 21st Century Curriculum," said Dr. Edwin Holland, Superintendent of the Orange City School District. "At the same time, we wish the best for Jennifer Felker, who has done an excellent job working with staff the past two years in preparing students for the new state standards and our demanding curriculum."
