The Orange City School District recently invited the community in for a FutureVision Community Engagement Session. This informative and interactive process allowed the District to gain valuable input from the community on current concepts and ideas before decisions on the Master Facilities Plan were made.
Part 1: Presentation to the Community - OHS Auditorium
The following video begins with a welcome and introduction by Orange Board of Education President Dagmar Fellowes. Orange Superintendent Dr. Edwin Holland then provides an overview of the plan's goals. Jill Akins, AIA, Principal of Van Auken Akins Architects, LLC, then introduces her design team and shares a presentation on the District's Master Facilities Plan.
Part 2: Input Islands - OHS Commons
The second part of the session took place in the OHS Commons where those in attendance were able to provide input at various "Input Islands" that focused on different areas of campus. Each area included school and design team representatives.
