Homecoming Weekend: Dance Tickets on Sale through Friday & Students Must Turn in Agreement Form; Congrats Senior Court, Welcome Alumni, Go Lions!

This is a reminder to Orange High School Students to join the SGA at the annual Homecoming dance is on Saturday, October 11th. Doors open at 6:45 p.m. All students in grades 9-12 will need to arrive by 7:15 p.m. Pre-sale tickets are being sold during all lunch periods through Friday, October 10th. The price is $15.
Students and their parents need to complete the Homecoming Dance Agreement/ Permission Form available in Student Services, in the Library, online or during the lunch periods. This form MUST BE turned in before students can purchase any tickets. If you plan on bringing a date that does not attend OHS you MUST also fill out a Student Guest Form.
NO TICKETS WILL BE SOLD AT THE DOOR.
The 2014 Homecoming Senior Court is made up of 12 students from the senior class who were selected by their classmates. They include (above, left to right): Jordan Wade, Gavin Wu, Talia Zaverdinos, Zayn Dweik, Mariah Baez, Stephen Borgman, Demi Zhang (behind the lion), Ben Levine, Eva Bogomolny, Nick Abraksia, Simone Foster, and Frank Regalbuto. The Court is also attended by 9th graders Leah Hester and Nicholas Garofoli, sophomores Jillian Leb and Benjamin Frazier, and juniors Brooke Shedden and Benjamin Flekel. The Homecoming Court will be introduced just before the varsity football game on Friday, October 10th, and the Homecoming Queen and King will be announced at halftime.
Welcome Back Alumni
Also, on Friday, October 10th, Orange High School welcomes back all alumni prior to the varsity football game from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the OHS Commons for all alumni sponsored by the Orange Alumni Association. Alumni and their families will have a chance to enjoy some refreshments, purchase spirit items, and meet members of the OHS football team, the Homecoming Court and coaches. Student liaisons will also be offering tours of the high school.
For the first time in the history of Orange, an OHS Alumni Marching Band will be performing along with the Orange Marching Lion Band and Lionettes. More than 60 alumni band members are expected to participate.
Kick-off is at 7 p.m. as the Orange Lions take on the West Geauga Wolverines in varsity football action! In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, fans, players, and all who attend Homecoming are encouraged to wear something "pink" at the football game as a tribute to those whose lives have been touched by cancer.
