Orange High School Earns All "A" Award from State Dept of Education
May 17, 2016
Orange High School was named as one of the first annual All A Award winners by Ohio's State Board of Education. Orange earned this award by receiving A’s on every measure of school performance on the 2014-2015 Ohio School Report Card. OHS was one of only eight high schools in Cuyahoga County and one of about 200 schools in Ohio to receive the recognition.
Orange High School Principal Dr. Paul Lucas shared with his staff, "Congratulations to everyone for all the amazing programs, opportunities, extra supports, extra hours, and everything else that goes into making Orange High School a great learning environment!"
In a letter to Dr. Lucas, the State Board of Education President Thomas Gunlock wrote: "As one of the first winners of this award, you are part of an elite group of schools that are demonstrating high-quality teaching and leadership that result in high academic performance for every type of student. Members of the State Board greatly appreciate your leadership and the conscientious work of your teaching and support staff to bring about this great success. Please convey our thanks to your staff and parents for believing that every child can succeed and committing to make sure that every child does."
