Male Minority Leadership Group Produces Violence Prevention PSA
November 17, 2014
The Male Minority Leadership Group of Orange High School has produced this PSA in support of the White Ribbon Campaign. This campaign is a global violence prevention movement observed in more than 60 countries.
Friday November 21, 2014 is the local White Ribbon Day. The Male Minority Leadership Group invites you to wear a white tie or ribbon on that day and take a public stand against violence towards women, children and intimate partners. The MML along with the Healthy Fathering Collaborative of Greater Cleveland, Passages Connecting Fathers and Families, and the Domestic Violence and Child Advocacy Center invite all adult and young men in Greater Cleveland to join the campaign to promote healthy non-violent relationships. Women and girls are asked to participate as well.
The Male Minority Leadership Group provides leadership opportunities and mentoring for young men at Orange High School. Male Minority Leaders identify, harness and develop their natural abilities through community involvement and volunteer opportunities. They further distinguish themselves by exhibiting good character, demonstrating respectful and responsible behavior and by demonstrating good emotional intelligence in and outside of school.
