Up With People was founded on the principle of using music as a means to communicate with and inspire people. In each city they visit, the cast members perform a vibrant and inspiring musical stage show that brings the community together to enjoy a night of entertainment while sparking people to take action in meeting the needs of their communities, countries and the world. It’s fun for the whole family and an experience you’ll never forget!
The Step Up seminar by Up With People combines concepts in a dynamic new program for high schools. This multi-day experience includes an Up With People cast engaging a school community, empowering a core group of student-leaders and sparking a school-wide dialogue on the power of caring and taking action. Their show incorporates energizing music and dance with a message of hope and motivation to go out and make a positive change in the world.
Up With People is a service and performing organization that accepts 100 students from around the world each year into its cast. Each year hundreds of young men and women between the ages of 17-29 apply to join the international, educational and cultural program for a one or two semester experience that visits diverse communities on a multi-continent tour.
The Orange Schools and Chagrin Valley Chamber of Commerce are sponsoring the Up With People visit. The Orange Area Service Committee is the beneficiary of the community show.
