Board of Education

The Orange Board of Education normally meets on the 2nd and 4th Monday of the month at 6:30 p.m. Meetings take place in the Pepper Pike Learning Center on the Orange Schools Campus.

The public is welcome to attend all Board of Education meetings. To confirm meeting times and locations, please contact our administrative offices at 216.831.8600.

The Orange Schools Board of Education members now serving are:

Tom Bonda, Term: 2000-2003, 2004-2007, 2008-2011, 2012-2015 Tom and his wife, Jodi, live in Pepper Pike and have three children. Two, having graduated from the Orange Schools, are presently attending college and one is currently enrolled in the Orange Schools. Tom was Co-Chair of the district's successful 1998 Bond issue campaign. He also served on the Board of the Orange Schools Foundation. He is involved with various committees and organizations in the Orange Schools community. Tom can be reached at 216.831.5877.

Jennifer Cohen, Term: 2012-2013 Jennifer is a 13 year resident of Orange Village where she and her husband reside with their three children, who attend Orange Schools. She has served on the board of the Orange Schools Foundation for five years, including three years as Co-President and grant committee chair. She is on Orange High School’s After-Prom committee and is a hospitality co-chair. Jennifer is a volunteer with the OHS swim team and with Stagecrafters theater group through Orange Community Education and Recreation. She has worked for 25 years in Human Resources Management and currently is the Professional Personnel Director for The Jewish Federation of Cleveland. She has a Bachelors of Science degree from The Ohio State University. She is involved in numerous community organizations. Jennifer can be reached at 216.765.1434.

Dagmar Fellowes, Term: 2006-2009, 2010-2013 Dagmar is a corporate attorney at Progressive Insurance and a graduate of Harvard Law School. She lives in Pepper Pike with her husband Ted and their three children, all of whom attend or graduated from the Orange Schools. She actively volunteers with Orange High School PTA, Orange Elementary PTA, Orange Patronaires and the OHS Swim Team parent group. She volunteered on the 2004 Orange Schools Levy Committee, as well. She also serves as a trustee for Western Reserve Academy and was on the board of the Pepper Pike Civic League and the Cleveland Racquet Club. Dagmar can be reached at 216.831.1084.

President Samuel Steinhouse, Term: 2008-2009, 2010-2013 Sam is the President of SPS Partners, LLC. He belongs to a number of community civic service organizations both in Moreland Hills and around Greater Cleveland. He and his wife, Susan, live in Moreland Hills and have two sons who graduated within the last six years from Orange High School. Sam has served on the Orange Schools Foundation Board since 2005. He is a member of the Orange Alumni Association and was a 2008 inductee into its Hall of Fame. He also served as co-chair for the Class of 1974 Reunion. Sam can be reached at 440.349.2368.

Vice-President Angela Wilkes, Term: 2012-2015 Angela is a resident of Pepper Pike and a 16 year dedicated volunteer for Orange Schools. She and her husband Gary Wilkes, M.D., are proud parents of Orange High School honor graduates, Stephen Alexander Wilkes, M.D. and David Alan Wilkes. Angela is the Vice President of Wilkes Mental Health Consultants and a Supervising Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. She and her husband are partners in their 25 year psychiatry and counseling practice in Beachwood. She brings the highest ethical standards and commitment to her profession and community service. Angela has served as an Orange Schools Foundation Trustee, a 2004 operating levy campaign co-chair and is the Orange High School Sister to Sister Program founder and mentor. She has also served in many other capacities for various academic planning and advisory committees and the Orange PTAs. 216-513-6791.
