Technology
Orange is a technology rich district that has been recognized locally, statewide and nationally in recent years for its ability to seamlessly integrate technology within student learning.
Collaboration is key in order for technology to enhance the high quality learning experiences students are exposed to at Orange Schools. Access to technology is essential for our students if they are to learn and apply these skills to real-world tasks.
As the Technology Department continues to assist teachers and students, new technology deployments support them with the teaching and learning tools required to develop 21st Century Learners.
Classroom Technology
More than 2,000 pieces of technology equipment have been distributed across the Orange City School campus. The student to computer ratio falls well within the eTech Ohio guideline of 5:1 at all grade levels. The entire campus is Wi-Fi ready and open for guest access. Teachers and students can access the Internet from any area on campus making the Orange City Schools positioned for anytime learning.
All classrooms in all schools have a variety of computing environments available including wireless mobile computer labs, multi-media labs, hands on technology labs, and interactive white boards.
Teachers use technology in daily lessons to engage, stimulate, simulate, and generate ideas and authentic learning across the curriculum.
