Morning Announcements

Monday, January 30

  • Dance team must be at practice today, Monday, January 30, right after school.

 

  • Asian Culture Club will meet on Tuesday, Jan. 31, in Room 120.

 

  • Tenth graders who are going with Mr. Favazzo to see technical programs at Mayfield:  make sure to be at the front door tomorrow, Tuesday, by 11:30.  If you are not going, please tell Guidance today.

 

  • Congratulations to the yearbook staff and entire student body for record sales.  No more orders will be accepted at this time.  Minimal extra books will be available in June for $75.00.

 

  • Project Support meeting after school on Wed., Feb. 1, in Room 114 to plan our stop the R Word campaign.  Snacks provided.

 

  • OMA and StarGirls will be having their annual Valentine’s Day Rose Sale.  Roses will be sold during all lunch periods until Monday, February 14.  Send a rose to a loved one, friend, or teacher.  Get a great deal and support your school organization.

 

  • Just a reminder that the deadline for the Cleveland Clinic application is Feb. 3.  See Mrs. Frazier with questions.

 

  • Girls interested in softball this spring:  final organizational meeting today, Monday, Jan. 30, at 3 p.m. in Room 113 to discuss practice schedules, uniforms, and plans for the upcoming season.  See Mr. Ley to answer any questions.

 

  • OMA/Stargirls:  plan to stay after school today, Mon., Jan. 30 to complete the display for Black History Month.  Plan to attend to complete this task.

 

  • ·Interested in a math, problem solving challenge competition that takes place on March 3, or March 4, online?  See Mrs. Frazier with questions.  This is a team competition.  Information can be found at the Enrichment Display in the Media Center.

 

  • ·Applications for a paid summer internship related to theater, dance, music and visual arts is available for students going into 10th, 11th, or 12th grade.  The deadline for applying is March 30.  See Mrs. Frazier for information.

 

 

Thursday, February 02

  • Juniors and seniors:  if you are going to be 18 years old by Nov. 6 of this year and have not yet registered to vote, feel free to stop by and see Mr. Keller to register.  Registration forms need to be in by Feb. 6 to be eligible for the March Primary Election.

 

  • Mock trial participants: we are having a mandatory meeting right after school today, Thursday, February 02, 2012, in the Lecture Hall.  The meeting will start at 2:30.  All team members are required to be in attendance.  After the meeting, practice will continue in the media center.
