COMMUNITY: Orange High School is located 15 miles east of Cleveland in the suburb of Pepper Pike and serves students from the communities of Hunting Valley, Moreland Hills, Pepper Pike, Orange and Woodmere. The area is a microcosm of American society and includes families of diverse races, ethnic groups, and religions.

SCHOOL: Primarily academically oriented, Orange has some technical programs available. Enrollment is 750, grades 9-12. At least 95% of Orange graduates pursue a college education.

FACULTY: The faculty consists of 80 certified professionals, most of whom hold advanced degrees.

ACADEMIC PROGRAM: Orange High School offers a diverse curriculum to meet the needs and interests of its students. Class size averages in the low twenties. Computers are readily available and integrated into academic disciplines. Honors and college preparatory courses are offered in academic subject areas. Orange High School has a model community service program, a senior project, and small group instruction laboratories in writing, grammar, reading, computers and mathematics.

ADVANCED PLACEMENT: AP courses are offered in American history, biology, calculus, chemistry, computer science, economics, English, environmental science, European history, French, government, physics, Spanish and statistics. Enrollment is open to all and students are encouraged to reach academically. The AP exam is a course requirement. In 2007, 186 students took 462 exams, 87% receiving a score of 3, 4 or 5.
