Do you know what's hidden in your house or in your child's bedroom? Orange Schools PTA hosts "Hidden in Plain Sight" tonight, November 30th, in the OHS Cafeteria. Discover the hidden dangers at the "Snoop and Search" at 6 p.m. or during the presentation at 7:15. Please note...due to the nature of the materials presented, no children are permitted to attend.

In a three-peat performance, the OHS Marching Lion Band and Lionettes returned to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame for a live appearance on Fox 8's 'Kickin' It With Kenny.' Kicking off Labor Day weekend, the students performed on the plaza and shared some of the songs from this season's repertoire.

The 2017-18 Orange City School District Calendar is now available for purchase at the Administrative Office Building, 32000 Chagrin Blvd. in Pepper Pike (across the street from Gail Allison Drive). Summer hours are Monday-Friday, 8am-3:30pm (closed from 12-1). Cost of the calendar is $5.

OCER hosts a Memorial Car Wash this Friday, 7/14 from 11a-2p at PPLC, in memory of Mr. Charles Holloway, a custodian at MHS who took pride in ensuring a positive experience for each and every child who passed through the school doors. The money raised from the car wash and food trucks will help families in need to participate in OCER programs and establish an OHS Male Minority Leadership Student Scholarship.

Two Orange Schools bus drivers were hailed as heroes at Monday night's Board meeting by State Senator Yuko, Mayor Renda, and others after the drivers' quick thinking saved the life of a colleague.

Jackson, Faculty Fellow, MC2STEM High School & Director, STEMM Education Center at CSU; and Jeff McClellan, Founding Head of School, MC2STEM High  School & Founding Director, SOLE CLE.

There was nothing "chilly" at all at the 2nd Annual Chilly, Chili Cook-Off & Relay for Life Rally held Wednesday night in the OHS Commons! The event raised more than $1000 at the kick-off for the annual American Cancer Society/Orange Schools Community Relay for Life event. Congratulations to Team OIP, winners of the Grand Champion Golden Ladle!

Congratulations to Orange High School on recently receiving a $6000 grant from bestselling author James Patterson to support its school library. In addition, Scholastic Reading Club will match each dollar of Patterson’s donation with “bonus points” that teachers can use to acquire books and other materials.

Orange High School '98 grad and NY Times Bestselling Author Jessica Fechtor returned to her Orange roots this week where she shared her story, her writing talents, and her incredible baking skills with OHS students and staff. Her memoir Stir includes many of the favorite recipes she created as part of her healing journey after she nearly died when an aneurysm burst in her brain at age 28. Her story inspired OHS students.

The Orange City School District application for a five-year waiver on state mandated testing has received “conditional approval” by the Ohio Department of Education. Orange is one of only a handful of school districts in Ohio eligible to apply for this waiver, which now has to be approved by the U.S. Department of Education.

As OHS juniors and seniors looked on in disbelief and horror, a scenario of what could happen when friends text and drive played out in real time. The message was clear: Be safe on the roads. 
Engaged OHS Students Immersed in Intersessions

From meeting with Mayor Jackson to de-stressing with yoga, OHS students had a two-day opportunity to explore subjects of special interest to them and engage in activities that left them wanting more.

 
OHS Fall Blood Drive Saves Lives

Five dozen students and staff may have saved nearly 140 lives by donating blood in this week's fall blood drive at OHS.
