Best Community For Music Education logoThe Orange City School District music department is proud to announce that the district has been recognized for the fourth year in a row as a "Best Community For Music Education" by the National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM). Congratulations to our staff and student musicians!

There is a lengthy application process that must be completed to receive this recognition. The NAMM Foundation is proud to recognize the Orange Schools community for the outstanding efforts of teachers, administrators, parents, students, and community leaders who are making music part of a well-rounded education for every child.

To qualify for the Best Communities designation, Orange had to answer detailed questions about funding, graduation requirements, music class participation, instruction time, facilities, support for the music program and community music-making programs. Responses were verified by school officials and reviewed by The Music Research Institute at the University of Kansas.

The NAMM Foundation is a nonprofit supported in part by the National Association of Music Merchants and its 15,000 member companies and individual professionals. The foundation advances active participation in music making across the lifespan by supporting scientific research, philanthropic giving, and public service programs.
