Working To Make Every Child's Potential A Reality

Orange High School PTA Logo
The Orange High School Parent Teacher Association ("OHS PTA") provides communication and fosters a closer relationship between Orange High School and the families of our students. We provide many services to the schools, promote the welfare of students, and work with the schools to provide quality education for all young people in the Orange School District. This webpage provides basic information about our activities. If you have any questions, please contact any Board member. We appreciate your support as a member, as a volunteer, and of our fundraisers.

Year in Review

The PTA contributes countless volunteer hours and financial support to many programs, clubs and activities directly benefiting OHS students, including:

  • The Orange High School PTA contributes to many of the over 25 student clubs and activities that OHS has to offer, such as Robotics, Culture and Language Clubs, and the National Honor Society.

  • Service Scholarship Awards - This award is given to two seniors every year. For the 2020-21 school year there were five seniors who applied for service awards. The committee was impressed with all the applicants. They had approximately 1,095 hours of service! Two students were selected and awarded scholarships.

  • Faculty Scholarships for Professional Development - Nine teachers applied for scholarships and the PTA awarded them a total of $2,660.
  • Educational Grants –  During the 2020-21 school year the PTA provided  various education grants. These included providing standing desks for the English Department, the creation of a new Writing Center and improvements to the Spirit Wear store now run in collaboration with OHS Students.
  • Teacher Appreciation - With generous help from the community the PTA was able to treat all the staff & teachers with gift cards and support local business at the same time.
  • Convocation breakfast for Staff
  • End of year luncheon for Staff
  • After Prom -  There were 148 students attending this fun event, which was held at the Rollhouse in Solon.
  • PTA continued to provide health and wellness programming throughout the year for students and the community.

The Orange Schools strongly encourage its students, faculty, staff and their families to volunteer in the community. The OHS PTA supports the OHS Guidance Office by creating and maintaining the information on the District website regarding Community Service Opportunities for Students
