Scott and his wife Amy have lived in the Orange district since 2004. They lived in Orange Village for almost 16 years before moving to Pepper Pike in 2020. They are the proud parents of 2 sons who attend the Orange Schools.
After graduating from Hawken School, Scott attended Miami University where he graduated with a degree in Accountancy.
He is Executive Vice President and a partner at SimTax where he has worked since 1997. SimTax is an accounting firm which specializes in procuring Work Opportunity Tax Credits (WOTC) for employers. Scott frequently spends time in Washington D.C. lobbying for the continuation and expansion of the WOTC program.
Volunteering and giving back to the community are very important to Scott and Amy. He has served on several different non for profit boards over the last 25 years and she is very active in the schools.
In November 2017, Scott was elected to serve on Orange Village Council and he served as Council President Pro Tem in 2019 and 2020. He served on the Orange Village Finance Committee from 2017-2020.
Scott has coached his boys’ baseball, soccer and flag football teams for many years. He plays softball during the summer and spends his free time in the winter practicing baseball to prepare for his annual trip to Cleveland Indians Fantasy Camp.
Scott and Amy are thrilled with the wonderful education their children are receiving in the Orange Schools.
