Mathematics Curriculum

Orange City Schools’ mathematics curriculum is intentionally designed to build strong conceptual understanding, critical thinking, and real-world problem-solving skills from early childhood through advanced high school coursework.

In Pre-K and grades 1–5, students engage with Bridges in Mathematics, a hands-on, research-based program that emphasizes deep mathematical thinking and number sense. Kindergarten uses New Perspectives in Mathematics, which introduces foundational concepts through developmentally appropriate, interactive lessons. To support personalized learning and reinforce core skills, students in grades K–4 also use DreamBox, an adaptive digital platform that adjusts instruction to meet individual learning needs.

In grades 6–8, the core curriculum is Into Math, a rigorous, standards-aligned program that emphasizes conceptual understanding and application. Students in these grades also benefit from supplemental programs such as ExactPath and IXL, which provide personalized practice, skill-building, and targeted intervention based on individual progress and assessment data.

At the high school level, Orange City Schools offers a comprehensive sequence of math courses to meet a wide range of academic goals and interests. Courses and core instructional resources include:
