Orange Board of Education

The Orange Board of Education meets regularly on the second and fourth Monday of each month at 6 p.m. These meetings take place in the Board Room at the Pepper Pike Learning Center, located on the Orange Schools Campus.

We welcome community members to attend all Board meetings. For meeting confirmation or schedule changes, please contact our administrative offices at 216.831.8600.

  • Angela Arnold

    With a strong foundation in business and information science, Angela brings a unique blend of analytical thinking and practical experience to educational leadership. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Social Science with honors from the University of Michigan, complemented by a Master of Science in Information from the same institution. Her professional expertise spans marketing, sales, consulting, business development, and information science.

    As both a parent and business owner, she maintains deep roots in the Orange City Schools community. Her children graduated in the class of 2022 and will graduate in the class of 2026, giving her firsthand experience with the district's programs across multiple years. Additionally, she owns PlayMatters Toys, demonstrating their commitment to supporting child development and play-based learning in the broader community. She resides in Moreland Hills.

    Her inspiration to serve on the Board of Education stems from witnessing the passion and dedication of Orange Schools’ families, residents, and businesses. This "small but mighty" community spirit drives her commitment to strengthening the district's existing strengths while ensuring every student reaches their full potential.

    As a board member, her primary focus centers on delivering excellence across all areas of student experience—academics, athletics, and arts. She embraces both the challenges and rewards that come with pursuing educational excellence, understanding that comprehensive student development requires attention to diverse talents and interests.

    Outside of board responsibilities, Angela enjoys staying active through exercise, expanding knowledge through reading, cultivating her garden, and pursuing intellectual interests she describes as "nerdy stuff"—reflecting a lifelong love of learning that aligns well with her educational advocacy.

    Dr. Rebecca Boyle brings a deep passion for Orange schools to her role, motivated by a genuine love for the district and a desire to contribute meaningful ideas to support its continued success. As a former Orange Schools parent and current resident of Orange Village, she has maintained a strong personal connection to the community and its educational mission.

    She possesses extensive educational expertise spanning multiple disciplines and settings. Her professional background includes experience as a retired special education teacher and school counselor, providing direct classroom and student support experience. She also served in higher education as an instructor in the College of Education at the University of Akron and as director of a campus counseling clinic. Currently, she works as a Behavioral Therapist at a pediatric practice, maintaining active engagement in supporting young people's development.

    Her educational credentials reflect a comprehensive understanding of student needs and educational systems. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Special Education, a Master of Education in School Counseling, and a Ph.D. in Counseling and Marriage and Family Therapy, demonstrating both practical training and advanced expertise in supporting diverse learners and addressing complex educational challenges.

    As a board member, her primary focus centers on collaboration with administration to foster a safe and nurturing educational environment. She emphasizes empowering teachers and staff to help all students achieve academic excellence while also exploring their individual passions in arts and athletics. Recognizing current educational challenges, she prioritizes the safety and well-being of both students and staff as fundamental to the learning process. Her ultimate goal is ensuring Orange students graduate well-prepared for success in their post-secondary endeavors, whether in higher education, careers, or other life pursuits.

    Outside of her board responsibilities, she enjoys maintaining an active lifestyle through Pilates and walking, while also pursuing intellectual interests through reading. She appreciates exploring new culinary experiences by trying different restaurants.

    Jeff Leikin

    Jeff was inspired to join the Board of Education by his desire to become more involved with both the community and the Orange Schools. As a litigation attorney with 40 years of professional experience, he brings substantial legal expertise to the board's work. His connection to the district runs deep - he is both a proud alumnus, having graduated from Orange in 1977, and a parent within the system.

    After graduating from Orange High School, he earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Colorado in 1981, followed by a Juris Doctor from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law in 1984. As a board member, his primary goals center on assisting in the operation and betterment of the schools while always putting kids first. He believes that every decision should prioritize student success and well-being.

    Currently residing in Pepper Pike, he remains actively engaged in the community he serves. He enjoys rooting on the Guardians, Browns, and Cavaliers.

  • Chavone Nash

    Dr. Chavone Nash is an education and community development professional with more than a decade of experience leading equity-centered programs across public education, nonprofit, housing, and civic systems. Her career has focused on building collaborative partnerships, managing complex projects and budgets, and expanding access to education, workforce development, and civic resources for historically underserved communities. She has held leadership roles in public school districts, legal and housing nonprofits, and regional equity initiatives, where she has directed large-scale programs, supervised teams, secured grants, strengthened community engagement, and translated research and data into actionable strategies. Beyond her professional work, Dr. Nash has served on multiple nonprofit boards, completed leadership fellowships and national trainings, and published doctoral research on college access for underserved students.

    Dr. Nash was inspired to join the Orange School Board by her lifelong commitment to public service, education, and equity. As a parent of a current Orange School District student and member of the community, she brings both professional expertise and personal investment to her role. She is dedicated to ensuring that academic excellence, transparent decision-making, and shared leadership remain at the center of the district's work.

    As a board member, Dr. Nash is focused on three main goals: strengthening student support systems and well-being through comprehensive academic, social-emotional, and wraparound services; promoting transparent and responsible governance with sound financial planning and accountability; and leading with collaboration by actively engaging educators, staff, families, students, and community partners in district decision-making.

    A resident of Woodmere Village, Dr. Nash enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, exploring new restaurants, and reading memoirs and historical narratives to gain different perspectives and insights.

  • Beth Wilson-Fish

    Beth Wilson-Fish was inspired to join the Board of Education through her extensive experience as a gifted intervention specialist and gifted coordinator within the Orange Schools. With a distinguished 40-year career in education, she brings substantial expertise to her board service.

    Her educational credentials include a Bachelor of Science in Education with Elementary Education K-8 certification from Bowling Green State University (1984), specializing in Early Childhood Education. She furthered her education with a Master of Arts in Education focusing on School Counseling from Cleveland State University (1990), along with an endorsement in Gifted Education (1993). Most recently, she completed Educational Leadership studies at Muskingum University, earning Administrative Specialist credentials in School and Community Relations (2017) and Superintendency (2023).

    As both a former parent and former educator within the district, Wilson-Fish maintains deep connections to the Orange schools community. Currently residing in Moreland Hills, her primary goal as a board member centers on fostering continued collaboration and communication to best serve students, families, and staff throughout the Orange schools community.
