Orange MTSS Mission

The Orange Schools Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) guides staff in designing effective instruction and appropriate interventions as part of school improvement efforts by clearly communicating a universal, systematic, inclusive, and holistic approach to addressing student wellness and learning. We strive to implement a framework that will support the equitable distribution and monitoring of curriculum and intervention for all students. The Orange Schools’ MTSS honors the overall mission to provide a positive, supportive, nurturing, and safe learning environment that meets the needs of all students

Our MTSS Goals:

The goal of an MTSS framework is to meet the academic, social, emotional, behavioral, and attendance needs of each child using data-based decision-making to facilitate student learning and growth. The goal is for students to feel supported as they work to the best of their ability while developing underlying skills needed to achieve career and college readiness.

The goal for educators is to be knowledgeable and have access to supports, resources, and systems that enable staff to provide research-based differentiation, intervention, and enrichment for student success. Our commitment is to provide a series of coordinated systems and structures that when implemented consistently, equitably, and with integrity and rooted in our district’s instructional core, result in positive benefits for all students.
