Orange Inclusive Preschool (OIP), Moreland Hills School (MHS) and Brady Middle School (BMS) students and families came together to raise more than $40,000 for the PTA—the highest fundraising total to date, and double our goal!
Thank you to everyone involved with making this year’s event exceptionally successful! Proceeds from the Walkathon will support the PTA, which is a vital link between parents, teachers and community members. The purpose of Orange Elementary and Middle School PTA is to enrich the emotional, academic, and environmental experience of the children who attend OIP, MHS, and BMS.
PTA President Caroline Kangas shared, "Students, families and friends of Orange came together to show that we truly are better together! We were all amazed by the community's generosity. I can't thank our parent volunteers enough for all the work that went into hosting such a successful event. The kids' faces were filled with delight as they danced with their friends at Walkathon. Most importantly, these funds will enhance our children's experiences at Orange."
MHS grades Kindergarten through Fifth competed for highest fundraising total with the Grand Prize of an extra recess and a special treat. Second Graders won this friendly competition by raising more than $10,000! Each grade hit remarkable fundraising levels, including Orange Inclusive Preschool, which raised more than $2,100 toward the overall total! OIP students walked the Orange High School Track. MHS students celebrated their success with a walk around the MHS Campus and dance party in front of their school. Thank you very much to all of this year's supporters!
