Orange High School Roof Update - 3/14/26
Dear Orange Schools Families, Staff, and Community,
Please be aware that part of the Orange High School roof over the auditorium has sustained damage due to the recent high winds. We are currently securing and waterproofing the damaged area, and we are cleaning up debris that fell into the stadium. Repair crews will be working this weekend to begin restoring the roof. While a significant amount of roofing material was blown off, the structure is intact and occupancy of the area will only resume after the building is cleared after inspection. All other areas of OHS were unaffected and are safe for occupancy.
As a precautionary safety measure, the auditorium and stadium are temporarily closed until further notice. Please also note that power has been turned off in the affected areas.
The stadium is expected to reopen on Tuesday. All gymnasiums and other areas of the high school are safe and remain accessible as usual.
The safety of our students, staff, and visitors is our top priority. We appreciate your patience and understanding and will provide updates as work progresses.
Sincerely,
Superintendent
Orange Schools
