Orange Inclusive Preschool
Welcome to OIP
Orange Inclusive Preschool serves children aged 3 to 5. We offer an inclusive educational environment where approximately half of the students are typically developing peers and the other half are children identified with special needs. The program emphasizes collaborative learning and social development among all students
OIP Beliefs
We believe that, in order to meet the needs of all students: The core business of the Orange Schools is to make learning valuable, satisfying and challenging for all students. All students will learn when engaged in and enthusiastic about their work. The learning environment must be positive, supportive, nurturing and safe. All students need adult advocates. All individuals must have a commitment to quality in the services they provide to students and to each other. Collaboration among the School District, home and community is vital to the success of all students.
OIP Schedule
OIP operates six half-day sessions, four days a week (Monday-Thursday) Morning Session: Designed for younger learners, from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Afternoon Session: Designed for 4- and 5-year-olds, from 12:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. There is no school on Fridays.
OIP Curriculum
Our curriculum is focused on developmentally appropriate practices across key areas such as language arts, math, science, social studies, physical education, health, nutrition, and fine arts. The curriculum aligns with Ohio’s Early Learning Content Standards and integrates play-based learning tailored to each child’s developmental stage. Each classroom is staffed by a lead teacher and two assistants and includes services from speech, occupational, and physical therapists who work with both typically developing children and those with special needs.

OIP Information
Classes are held Monday through Thursday. Our morning program is designed for our younger learners and is held from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Our afternoon students (ages 4-5) join us from 12:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. The Explorers Program is a full day program that is geared towards children who miss the kindergarten age cut off (young 5's) and would benefit from an additional year of preschool.
Each student is required to pay a one-time Consumable and Supply fee of $200 which is applied towards field trips, classroom parties, and classroom materials. Tuition for our typical peers is $150 per month (1/2 day program) and $300 (full day program). Fees can be paid via check or by using the District's online payment program.
