At its January 8, 2024, organizational meeting, the Orange Schools Board of Education completed its annual Organizational Business. Taking their Oath of Office were recently re-elected Board members Mrs. Angela Arnold and Mrs. Beth Wilson-Fish. The Board also approved the appointment of Mr. Jeffrey Leikin and Mrs. Beth Wilson-Fish as its 2024 President and Vice President, respectively.

Mrs. Arnold and her husband Sean reside in Moreland Hills with their two children who both attend Orange Schools. The Arnold family has lived in the community for 18 years, including 15 years in their current home.

Mrs. Wilson-Fish and her husband Tom Fish have resided in Moreland Hills for more than 13 years. Her daughter is a graduate of Orange High School. She has 31 years of experience in education, which includes 17 years serving the students of the Orange Schools before retiring in 2014.

Mr. Leikin has lived in the Orange Community for more than 25 years and is a 1977 graduate of Orange High School.  He and his wife Tracey have three children, two that graduated from the Orange Schools and one currently attending Orange High School.

Arnold, Wilson-Fish, and Leikin currently serve on the Orange Board of Education along with Mr. Scott Bilsky, and Dr. Rebecca Boyle.

Other organizational meeting news

Standing authorizations were approved or adopted by the Board, including approval of the regular meeting schedule for the calendar year 2024. The meeting schedule is posted on the District website calendar and in the right column of the Board of Education webpage. The Board also re-adopted existing bylaws and policies.

Appointments to the Ohio School Boards Association (OSBA) were approved. Mr. Leikin will serve as a delegate at the OSBA annual conference with Mrs. Arnold as an alternate. Dr. Boyle will serve as a legislative liaison to OSBA while Mrs. Wilson-Fish will serve as the student achievement liaison.
