It was another incredible showing by the Brady Middle School Power of the Pen teams at the Regional Competition in Solon on March 15, 2025. For the second year in a row, the BMS combined team won the Sweepstakes Award, given to the school with the highest number of total points. The BMS eighth grade team, including Noah Engel, Olivia Kim, Olivia Schartman, Samiya Mendiratta, and Adeline Moran, took home the second place trophy. And the seventh grade team composed of Hannah Deshpande, Indra Iyer, Vinnie Thorman, Elle White, and Elizabeth Zaraa came in 3rd place. Four individual awards went to seventh graders Indra Iyer (6th place) and Vinnie Thorman (8th place) and eighth graders Adeline Moran (6th place) and Olivia Kim (11th place.) All four of those students now advanced to the State Competition in Ashland on May 22, 2025, with possibly more to be added to the roster. Indra Iyer and Samiya Mendiratta also received special awards at the Regional contest for their outstanding work at Districts.
