Four Orange High School seniors were recently named National Merit Semifinalists. (from left to right) Anna Karman, Caroline Jang, Matthew Comella, and Ishan Bhatt are among the top 1% of high school seniors in the country based on their junior year PSAT scores. More than 1.3 million students took the test with only 16,000 nationwide being selected as Semifinalists in the 71st annual National Merit Scholarship Program. These academically talented high school seniors now have an opportunity to continue in the competition for 6930 Scholarships worth nearly $26 million to be offered next spring. The list of National Merit Commended students will be released soon.
