Brady Middle School hosts 2026 Science Fair

Brady Middle School students showcased their dedication to scientific investigations during the school’s 2026 Science Fair on Feb. 3. Forty-two students in grades 6–8 presented 27 original projects spanning health science, environmental studies, physics and technology. Projects were evaluated by a panel of judges. Top honors went to Mark Khramoy (pictured left) and Aidan Tong (pictured right), who earned first place for “Making Waves.”
Second place was awarded to Lily Hu for “Fin-Tastic Flights,” followed by Anaya Desai and Lily Xiong for “Pitch Perfect.” Fourth place went to Esme Yee and Supriya Miller-Rao for “The Ulti-Mutt Color Experiment.” Honorable mentions were awarded to Aria Mancini and Arya Patel for “Survival of the Cleanest” and Avi Dubey for “Fight Bacteria Naturally.”
Additional finalist projects explored topics such as machine learning, microplastics, antacids and sun protection. This year’s Finalists include Adrian Taracila and Sanay Moghekar, Juliana Gauthier, Kian Ansari-Gilani, and Adrianna Khater and Esmée Baker.
The event was coordinated by science advisors Val Pettigrew and Mariah Sherer. Support was provided by the Brady Middle School PTA, the school’s FAB LAB team and the Brady Middle School administration.
