State Problem Solvers Success

Orange Schools students had an outstanding showing at the State Problem Solvers Competition earlier this month. The Community Problem Solving Team, including Orange High School students junior Amanda Goldman, sophomore Henry Miller, junior Mane Sargsyan, and freshman Olivia Schartman, took home First Place honors for their work on “Creative Connections,” a program to bring students, staff, and alumni together through creative partnerships and engagements. These include Witty Wednesdays, Bedazzling the School, and the Buddy Bunch Lunch programs, among others. The team has now qualified for the International Bowl at Indiana University in mid-June. Also at the State Contest, freshman Anne Chiang placed second in the Middle Division for Scenario Writing, while Miller placed third in the Senior Division.
