Cultural Exchange with the Danes!

Orange High School proudly welcomed 25 students from Herning Gymnasium (high school) in Denmark earlier this month. They arrived on October 2 and enjoyed a weekend getting to know their American host families and visiting such landmarks as Patterson's Fruit Farm, Squire's Castle, and the Chagrin Falls Popcorn Shop. On October 5, the Danes and their Orange host students were paraded through the OHS halls by the Lionettes, Drum Line, and Cheerleaders. The Danes were welcomed by Principal Jamie Hogue and treated to performances by the OHS Choir and Orchestra before sharing presentations about Denmark, its culture, and its people. They also took a walking tour around the school campus, and participated in classes, field trips, and programs, including visiting Amish Country and enjoying a Cleveland Cavaliers preseason game. OHS students will visit their new friends in Denmark in the spring. This International Education exchange program is in its 13th year
